guiding principles

IAS-iKLR follows 3 main guiding principles that ensure the effectiveness of the program.

Universal

As character transcends religious, cultural, and political beliefs and affiliations, IAS-iKLR, is most effectively explained in the language of universal truths and values.

Following the principle of universality has moved organizations from different countries (of different cultures and religions) to invite the IAS-iKLR Team to hold seminars for their youth and to translate our publications to their language.

Youth Oriented / Interactive

Since the youth tend to open up and listen more to their peers without qualms, IAS-iKLR is grateful for the select college students and young professionals who, to the best of their abilities, share themselves to inspire their peers to always strive to be better each day.

In the same regard, sessions are designed to be interactive. A talk on a given topic is followed by an activity to ensure the active involvement of the participants.

Multisectoral Representation

The advocacy is a multi-sectored campaign, extending membership to groups that affect youth development: the academe, the local government units, the non-government organizations, the business sector, and the media.

Each sector has its distinct role in honing the character of our nation’s future decision-makers. IAS-iKLR serves to continuously encourage these sectors to contribute towards building a nation of good character.

I Am S.T.R.O.N.G. might just be a lynchpin, among several others, in the rebuilding of a family, a community, a nation, for three reasons. One, the program addresses the future of our own sons and daughters, and grandchildren. Two, the program builds a future workforce that is more disposed to work harder. Three, it is a guaranteed exercise of social responsibility through the character development of the youth.
