National
The program has reached 16 of 17 Philippine Regions. It has reached more
than 3.5 million
students parents, and teachers through seminars, youth congresses, family
conferences, teaching materials, and other media-based efforts.
Among the major channels
of the program’s network are the Department of Education of the Philippines,
national educators associations, congressional districts, LGUs, and NGOs.
IAS-iKLR has also gone
tri-media recently. Television and radio CEOs and hosts, and newspaper and
magazine editors and columnists have been generous in featuring a character
education program like IAS-iKLR.
International
In
2007, IAS spearheaded the Second
International Congress on Education in Love, Sex, and Life (the first was
held in Mexico, the next is being organized in the United States), themed Love, Laughter and Life Ever After. The Congress, held in Edsa
Shangri-la Hotel, was attended by over 800 local and foreign delegates from
Asia, North and South America, Australia, and Europe.
In
2008, the program collaborated with Malaysian counterparts for an Advanced
Seminar in Malaysia, with the intention of gradually adopting the I Am
S.T.R.O.N.G. program catering to the needs of the Malaysian Youth. Two months
after, the Responsibility Workshop Series, a character development program for professionals,
was also launched in Malaysia.
IAS-iKLR is
now internationally recognized in Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Malaysia, Venezuela, Rome, El Salvador, Taiwan, Spain,
Chile, Mexico, and the United States.
Furthermore, its ate/kuya guiding principle (peer
management) has been recognized in international meetings in Paris, Rome,
United States, Canada, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
