I Am S.T.R.O.N.G. … I AM RESPONSIBLE (IAS) is a character education program that promotes values among youth leaders.
❝Our life is made up of choices that
we face and decisions that we make. If we as adults feel the weight of these
choices now, what more our teenagers? They are constantly being bombarded with
conflicting messages that confuse them. What we offer them are criteria to help
them make sound judgments at home, in school, in the relationships that they foster,
and in the work that they do.❞
S.T.R.O.N.G. stands for six universal virtues:

TRUSTWORTHY
Matibay ang aking salita
RESPECTFUL
Magalang ang aking pakikitungo
OPEN-MINDED
Malawak ang aking pananaw
NOBLE
Marangal ang aking pagkatao
GUTSY
Matapang ang aking paninindigan
IAS is for high school
and early college students and teachers, parents, and youth mentors. The program shares with them principles
on responsible day-to-day decision-making.
The IAS program carries the campaign
i Keep Love Real
(iKLR). iKLR advocates a deeper understanding of love,
relationships, and sexuality. What started as a session in an IAS seminar run has bloomed into a full campaign, attracting students, teachers, parents,
artists, musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs, and media practitioners in spreading the real love revolution.
Character education is a matter of
helping the youth prepare their head, their heart, and their hands for the life
ahead of them.
